Tina's Place: A Haven for Patients with Stage III and IV Melanoma
Tina's Place is called to be a lighthouse, guiding individuals and families to reconnect with nature and celebrate life in a peaceful lakefront setting. We provide a free weeklong lakefront retreat in a 2-bedroom cottage in Michigan to support Stage III & IV melanoma patients and their immediate family. We believe a cancer diagnosis does not just affect the patient, but the entire family.
The prophet Isaiah wrote: "...the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners..." (Isaiah 61:1) He has given us a master plan to care for sick bodies, sick souls, and sick families. Tina's Place is called to be a lighthouse, guiding individuals and families in a safe place for His love. As these broken ones come into wholeness they will, in turn, become mighty warriors who will have great anointing and wisdom to share with others.
Our Mission is to promote the well-being of melanoma patients by offering survivors and their families precious time away from their day-to-day responsibilities in a peaceful lakefront setting and continue Tina's passion of melanoma education and awareness.
At Tina's Place accommodations are free, while travel costs are the responsibility of those attending. Guests will enjoy a getaway to a lakefront cottage nestled in the trees on a quiet private lake in Michigan. The cottage offers two bedrooms and sleeps up to five guests. It is supplied with satellite TV and everything a family will need for their stay (excluding food and personal toiletries). Some fun family activities available include swimming, fishing, walks, paddleboat and campfires. The cottage offers privacy and relaxation.
